For any question about your personal data you can contact us at info@dbme.be.
When you visit our website, your browser automatically sends technical information to the web server, such as your IP address, the date and time of the visit, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. Our web server and our hosting provider keep this information in log files for a short period. We need it to deliver the website and to keep it secure (legal basis: our legitimate interest, art. 6.1(f) GDPR).
We use a security plugin (All-in-One WP Security) that blocks malicious traffic and failed login attempts. To do so, it records the IP address and time of suspicious requests. These records are kept for a maximum of 90 days (legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the website, art. 6.1(f) GDPR).
To understand which pages are visited, we use Burst Statistics in cookieless mode. It does not place cookies on your device and does not build a profile of you. The statistics are stored on our own web server only and are never shared with third parties such as Google (legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the website, art. 6.1(f) GDPR).
If you e-mail or phone us, we use your name, contact details and the content of your message to answer your question and, where relevant, to prepare or carry out a quotation or assignment (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract and performance of a contract, art. 6.1(b) GDPR, or our legitimate interest in answering your message, art. 6.1(f) GDPR). If you become a customer, we keep invoices and related data for as long as accounting and tax law requires (art. 6.1(c) GDPR).
Our website does not use tracking, advertising or social media cookies, and it does not load content from external services: fonts and all other files are served from our own server. If you log in to the website as an administrator, WordPress places strictly necessary cookies for that purpose only.
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is only accessible to us and to service providers who process it on our behalf, such as our web hosting and e-mail provider, under a data processing agreement. We only pass on data to authorities when the law requires us to.
Server logs and security records: up to 90 days. E-mails and contact details: as long as needed to handle your question and any follow-up, and at most 3 years after our last contact unless you become a customer. Invoices and accounting records: 7 years, as required by Belgian law.
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, e-mail info@dbme.be. We will reply within one month.
If you believe we do not handle your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
We may update this privacy policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
